It is always a good idea to splash skin with a bit of water (or toner, if you have it) before applying any moisturizer. This helps it absorb better, and keeps you from having to use too much. Apply it morning and night. It works well with Dermalogica’s Dermal Clay Cleanser, Multi-Active Toner and Skin Prep Scrub.

Use Active Moist if you experience oiliness and/or occasional breakouts. If you have acne-prone skin, this probably isn’t your best option. While it helps keep skin clear, it does not provide the medicated relief that acne needs. Drier skin types will require a heavier consistency than Active Moist provides.
