Hawaiian Tropic carries a variety of products for the sun, including sun block, tanning lotions for both indoor and outdoor tanning, lip care, moisturizers, after sun care and sun burn relief products. All of their products are affordable, especially the Island Glow Moisturizers, at less than $10 at most drugstores. There are a few different types of this lotion for different skin tones, including “medium skin tones” lotion, which I have used.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer is a good product, but it has one big problem: the smell. All self-tanner products have some (similar) odor due to the DHA ingredients used. The odor can be masked with other scents, as is typical for moisturizers, but when the pleasant scent dissipates, the DHA scent remains. In fact, this scent was bad enough that even I, who am unfortunately as pale as death, did not find it to be worth the trade-off.
